What, exactly, does it mean to be a 21st century American dissident, and who are we? With whom—or what—are we disagreeing? And what do we do about it?

Why "liberals" seem to be more willing to cheat than "conservatives"?

What is the real difference between us?

What is the current power structure in today's America, and where do those who value individual liberty fit in?

What is the new American "iron curtain” and what is its weakness?

The battle to reclaim our heritage is likely to be a prolonged one. What specific steps can every freedom-loving American take to fight back?

The Liberty Forum of Silicon Valley's July speaker, Brent Hamachek, is the author of recently published works on ethics and what it means to be a dissident. We've all heard compatriots sounding warning bells about events here in the USA that reflect devolutions into tyranny in their own corners of the globe. Indeed, throughout history, from Plato to 20th century eastern Europe to present-day America, Mr. Hamachek ties this recurring historical theme together and creates a clear picture for freedom-loving Americans as to just where we stand, what we are up against, and what we need to do.

Brent delivers an inspiring, action-focused talk that will give us not only things to think about, but also things we can do in the battle to restore individual liberty and free market capitalism.
